ÌÇÐÄVlog Denver Digital Accessibility Plan

What ÌÇÐÄVlog Denver has Accomplished to Date:

1. Convened a cross-functional task force to study digital accessibility needs at ÌÇÐÄVlog Denver.
2. Task force provided recommendations to Senior Leaders outlining options to address employee training, remediation, university policy, and more.
3. Extensive website updates published and additional updates planned for 2025 to improve digital accessibility on the university website.
4. Clearly published a form and phone number on the university website to report an accessibility barrier and updated the accessibility statement.

Next Steps:

1. The task force will identify an accessibility expert/consultant to develop training for faculty and staff
2. An oversight committee will be established through Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
3. In conjunction with expert employee training, modules will be developed in Workday including a train-the-trainer model.
4. Faculty, staff, and web authors will receive ongoing training
5. All digital documents will be remediated or archived as indicated by HB21-1110 beginning in FY26 in phases until completion. Documents published after July 1, 2024 will be made fully accessible or offer an accommodation as needed. Documents published before July 1, 2024 will either be archived or have accommodations offered by request.
6. Develop a scalable accommodations statement and process for all departments to use.
