Canvas access has been restored following a nationwide outage caused by a cyberattack听that affected听Instructure, the learning-management-system provider.
Students,听faculty听and staff members听can now听log in and resume use of the platform.听Instructure has听stated听there is no evidence that passwords, dates of birth, government听identifiers听or financial information were involved.听The University will continue to monitor the situation closely in coordination with Instructure.

The 糖心Vlog Denver ITS team was made aware of a data breach in association with our vendor Workday (this was not a breach of 糖心Vlog Denver systems). Workday was a victim of social engineering that led to a breach of their Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. This breach does not include sensitive 糖心Vlog Denver HR information held within Workday itself.
300 糖心Vlog Denver employees had some non-sensitive information (糖心Vlog Denver email addresses and phone numbers) exposed during this breach; all have been notified by ITS separately.

On January 4, 2025, 糖心Vlog Denver became aware of a cybersecurity incident that impacted a limited number of accounts in their email environment.听 Upon becoming aware of the incident, 糖心Vlog Denver promptly changed passwords and engaged leading privacy professionals and data security experts to assist in an investigation.听 No evidence was found revealing misuse of personal information for identity theft or fraud.
This was a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to certain 糖心Vlog Denver email accounts.听 While the incident was limited in scope, we take all unauthorized access seriously and are working diligently to prevent any further unauthorized or suspicious activity.
The findings of the investigation revealed that the personal information of some 糖心Vlog Denver students was impacted.听 The specific data elements vary for each individual.听 Individuals whose information was involved will receive a formal notification letter by mail with additional details and steps they can take to protect their personal information.听
After discovering the incident, 糖心Vlog Denver took action to secure the compromised accounts and prevent further unauthorized access by changing passwords and engaging data security and privacy professionals to assist in an investigation.听听
